Being Civilized or Wild

Being Wild &Civilized – An Animal& a Brand
The other day I was watching a show on National Geographic. It was about a Cheetah hunting its prey in a herd of buffaloes and ultimately killing it.
The Cheetah was being referred to as a wild animal.
My curiosity is with the term “Wild”. What is being wild?
Looking at the Cheetah, wild meant that ‘the entire focus is on surviving or ending one’s own hunger’.
The term ‘Wild’ takes us to another term –‘Being Civilized’.
So what does “Being Civilized”means:
1. Contributing to the benefit of others,
OR
2. Surviving together rather than be bothered ofone’s own survival?
OR
3. Surviving through other means, without harming others
Can we co-relate ‘Wild’ and ‘Being Civilized’ with the world of brands and products?
So would “Wild” mean – a product or a brand eating into the market share of others to survive.
An example could be the launch of a new toothpaste brand;
Would “Being civilized” mean – growing the category by attracting more customers to the category.
Or can a brand be both; “Wild” in trying to get market share and “Being Civilized” in attracting more end users.
The more I dwell on it, the more intriguing it becomes…
